An intricately carved temple situated just 30 minutes away from Chicago in Wilmette, Illinois is the Bahai House of Worship. This is the only kind of temple in the North American region which provides services to the Bahai faith members whose deep roots started from Persia during the 19th century. This circular temple exudes a white lace appearance with the mixture of quartz and cement surrounded by gardens with fountains.

Another iconic place situated in New York City is the St. Patrick`s Cathedral which is well-known as a place of retreat for the growing number of Catholics in the metropolitan. The Neo-Gothic church was erected in 1879 with its vibrant stained glass windows and magnificent marble facade. Though not a grand as the surrounding skyscrapers, people come to this church to pray and watch the beautiful scenes.

Meanwhile, Hsi Lai Temple which can be found in Hacienda Heights, California serves as the place of worship for the members of the Buddhist faith. Although just recently built in 1988, the temple reflects the ancient Chinese dynasty of Ming and Ch'ing which dates back to the 14th and 20th century. When viewed from bird's eye view, the temple shows the bodhi leaf which was the iconic tree where the moment of Buddha's enlightenment took place.

On the other hand, people of the Muslim faith flock to the 65,000-square-foot Islamic Center of America which is situated in Dearborn, Michigan. This mosque was opened in 2005 which provides services to almost 5,000 Arab-Muslim families. Inside the modern mosque are crystal chandeliers, Islamic decorated prayer room, imported granites and Quranic verses calligraphy with a distinct fiberglass dome and stone-carved edifice on the outside.

On the other hand, the awesome Memorial Presbyterian Church located in St. Augustine, Florida serves as the place of comfort for the Presbyterian members. This structure was constructed in 1889 with its founding family members all entombed inside, namely: the tycoon Henry Morrison Flagler, Mary the first wife, Jenny Louise Benedict the daughter, and Marjorie the granddaughter. This one of a kind building resembles the structures of European cathedrals with its wood-carved walls and stained glass windows.

Standing majestically at 103 feet tall, 100 feet wide, and 175 feet long, this vibrant edifice has the capacity of 2,500 people.
