Easily Mounting Doorking Gate Operators

By Marci Glover

Access to gates is now made easy by using an intercom or a keypad that comes with the various operating devices. Not very different from garage door openers, in fact their installation processes are rather similar. The Doorking gate operators unlike other operators is designed to operate vehicular swing gates and is commonly used in residential or commercial settings.

Just like any other job, installing gate operators requires you to have certain tools that will help you facilitate the job smoothly. These are some of the items that are needed when it comes to installing these operators; staple gun, PVC pipe, shovel, power drill, a flat-head screwdriver, an electric wire for outdoor use and to finish it off some extra time. During such a process there is a high chance of things getting a little dirty which is why you need to dress in the correct attire or around the house clothes in case you do not have the attire.

Installing the operators is not any different from any other job, which is why you need to have the correct tools to help you get this work done. The following are some of the tools that are required; PVC pipe, staple gun, shovel, power drill, a flat-head screwdriver, an electric wire specifically for outdoor use and some additional time. Correct attire should also be present for the process or around the house clothes just in case the attire is not available, normally for safety purposes. Furthermore, no one wants to get dirty during the job which makes the attire very essential.

After you have gathered all the requisite equipment, then you are ready to get it installed. First and foremost, you need to drill holes through your holes where you will attach your control box. After doing this, you need to connect the arm to the control box. This however depends on the design of the gates. But in some operators like the doorking gate operator, the arm is connected to the bottom rail of the gate because of its unique design.

You must dig a thin trench, which should not be less than 9 inches deep and not more than a foot deep. The trench should start from the breaker panel and end at the gates. The electric pipe should be placed inside the trench but through the PVC pipe. All these should be done while the power switch is off.

At this point it would be better to refer to the installation manual that came with it. A thin trench should be dug, which should start and end at the breaker panel and gate respectively. The trenchs depth should be not less than 9 inches and not more than one foot. The electric pipe should then be placed through the PVC pipe and then placed in the trench, this should be done with the off.

With the power still off, the wires can be joined to the control box. To avoid any potential damage from happening, the sensor should be connected to the fence. Loose wires from the sensor should not be tolerated and therefore they must be stapled alongside. The installation process is now complete and all you need to do is test the work you have done. If the installation process was done to perfection then the gate will operate smoothly.

It is therefore not necessary to hire someone to do the job for you when you can get it done on your own. Just by following the above steps, you will be able to install your gate operator in the right way.
