In buying a property, it is only a given to do a proper inspection before actually considering it for purchase. Plumbing issues can also cost you a lot later on if you overlook it during the inspection before purchasing the property. A common defect that should be easy for you to repair is leaks. Problematic and outdated systems can also cause you grief later on so you must deal with them later. Repair or replace them accordingly.

The attic is still a part of the house so it is only a given for you to inspect it as well. For the attic, you must ensure that it has adequate insulation and ventilation. When there is inadequate insulation and ventilation in the attic of the house you plan to buy, you will surely suffer from excessive utility cost. It lowers comfort value of the house too.

The drainage is another part of the house that you must pay close attention to. Remember that the said system is what drains away water from the structure within the house's perimeter. If there is poor drainage in the said house, then there should be adequate downspouts and gutters to rectify any drainage problems.

Since you are inspecting the property, you also have to pay attention to minor structural damages. You have to ensure that there are no broken or cut trusses in attic cavities. The structural components should all be there, with nothing missing. Ensure that no safety hazards can be seen inside and out of the said property as well. Otherwise, you will increase risks to your and your family's life.

Potential environmental problems. There are surely estates that has signs of potential environmental problems. One of these would be seeing signs for molds infestation and growth. When you see these signs, then you either decide whether you will do something about it as you purchase the estate or find another one to purchase.
