In the business environment, there are many activities that go on to see successful production. Human relations are the most important as they are the ones required to relate with the most important production factor, labor. Employees are important for any business and as such they need to be handled well so as to create a good working relationship with them and if everything is ok, they will be able to produce more.

There is also planning function which can be very useful. It involves setting up what the organization desires to achieve and the formula to achieve it. This works through the formation of budgets. There are however many budgets within the organization and the examples are master budget, cash budget, production budgets etcetera. All these should have similar results and no deviations should be noted between actual and standard results as it will show that there is no coordination.

Staffing is a tool that is used to ensure labor required to do operations in the working place is obtained and works efficiently. A determined administrator will not just go for anybody out there. One should be able to choose the best workers out there with high level of skills, knowledge and experience. Poor staffing choice will lead to low rate of production from the employees. To ensure coordination of efforts the employees should be monitored and evaluated to check on their performance.

Controlling function is also used and in this case all performance activities are monitored closely and if a hitch is detected measures are taken to make things right. This also can be used to detect areas that are problematic and usually cause weakness in the entire production and able to be avoided. Errors affect synchronization of efforts.

The organizing function is now the actual coordination function as it involves doing all the activities to ensure that all efforts are directed to one goal.
