Turbans For Men As A Style Mantra

By Cathy Mercer

While in many cultures and religions, donning a certain style of head gear is deemed mandatory, outside of these norms there exists a world of fashion where such pieces are worn to make a statement. Whether it is a social gathering, a religious ceremony or a cultural event, turbans for men can look quite suitable and astonishing if worn in the right manner. The one thing you must be cautious of it to not hurt the religious sentiments of anyone by donning this garment.

A huge variety of head gear is available in the stores out there. So, when you step outside to buy one, you may be faced with a confusing amount of options. However, be prudent and pick one that will be wearable and suit you well too. The type of cloth, the shade of colour and the print on the cloth must all be taken into account before making a purchase.

When it comes to special occasions and donning such head gear for it, you must look your dashing best. With such a large variety of styles, colours and fabric available these days, you might just be spoilt for choice.

The complexion of the wearer is quite important while choosing turbans. This is so because the piece sits on the head, the part closes to the face. Therefore, for those with fairer skin, brightly coloured head gear could look quite befitting. A bright red, shocking pink or crisp maroon could do wonders for your skin tone. Clubbed with a suit that is black, dark brown or navy blue, you could make a lot of heads turn at the party. With these colours, outfits of lighter colours such as beige, cream, or white would also look quite dashing.

Now, if you have tanned or dark complexion, softer shades or colours may look better on you. A soft pink, a dull or brick red or perhaps a lavender coloured turban would be befitting and dapper. Along with attire of darker shades like black or steel grey, it would complete your chic look.

Turbans can cause quite a stir if worn correctly. You could make a style statement or a dazzling appearance by doing it just right. To add more glamour to your look, make sure you buy a piece that has some glittering aspect to it. Golden or silver thread adds more allure, while sequins work lends the fabric a more formal and celebratory look. Either way, you could look classic in the right colours and style.

Another consideration is the cloth the piece is made of. Silk and crepe in winters may be befitting, but in summers, they could make you sweat profusely. Cotton may be more appropriate in summer, but too light for functions in winter. Knowing the right fabric according to the weather, venue and location could save you the trouble of much discomfort.

Turbans for men are not rare, yet can be difficult to decide. A very useful tip would be to wear the one you intend to buy beforehand and keep it on for a while to check how comfortable it will be.
