The State of Florida is one tough cookie when it comes to filling for divorce; nonetheless, obtaining marriage records or any public records here is one of the fastest and hassle-free activities, thanks to their online services. Of course, calling the office or mailing and asking for a Florida Divorce Record is still allowed. However, if one wants expediency, then sending an application online is one of the fastest ways to do so.

Getting a divorce record is the same as getting public records. People who want information on certain divorce cases can check out the Bureau of Vital Statistics webpage. The office provides information on divorce cases after June 6, 1927. However, it does not have records before this date. People who are looking for divorce granted before the particular date can check the local Court clerk where the divorce was released. The divorce form is available in three different languages, which one can easily download from the website. One can choose the default divorce and Annulment form, which is in English, or download the Spanish or Creole version of the form. All blank fields must be answered to prevent delay in the processing of the request.

People who request for the record should remember to indicate the complete name and information of the divorced parties especially the maiden name of the wife. Should one be unsure of the exact details, it is crucial that he or she remember the husband's name as the Bureau indexes the divorce records under the husband's name.
