Swift development ahead of times accompanied by a prosperous cultural and historical background, that is the main element of Japan's advancement. In the field of technology they are up to the minute and in the field of arts and crafts they own skilled hands. When it comes to the cultural field, their life and culture have made impacts on the global life itself.

One of the things that have brought the country of Japan acknowledgement on a global scale is the art of tattooing that the Japanese people indulge in. Tattooing been alive in Japan for hundreds of years. In fact some of the designs that are found today can be traced back to the 5th century BC. It should be noted that tattooing was something looked down upon in Japan because it was supposed to be an art form associated with criminals.

Today however the trend has reversed and the art of tattooing has become a way of making a fashion statement. This is much more so the case outside of Japan like the western countries.

In Japan the field continues to have a bad connotation even today. But for making profit they have developed their tattooing industry which now deals with a worldwide clientele.

Japanese tattoos are too much appealing because of their freakish charm and aesthetic appearance. Love symbols are the most loved among them by the people. Younger generation in the west will never be satisfied until they convey their love using the Japanese love symbols.

Kanji script, which was imported from the Chinese characters long ago, is used to design the love symbols. Because of the intriguing artistic appearance of these scripts, some may think that they were originally formed for the use of tattoo designing.

Both men and women are being attracted to the allure of the Japanese tattoos and that is the real brilliance of this art. The romantic allure of these symbols win over the young people and makes them addicted for lifetime.

There is no doubt about the physical beauty of the love symbol. But the fact that makes it even more loved by the public is that this aesthetically appealing design has a deep inner meaning. In fact these symbols illustrate much more than words, they represent ideas. Thus a love symbol is actually symbolizing the concept of universal love.

The construction of Kanji symbols is not the job of a layperson. In order to get the complicated definition correct each stroke much be done in the correct order and direction. Peace, strength, freedom, unity are other popular symbols other than the love symbol.
