Improvement In Shoe Covers Disposable Apparels

By Marsha Klein

Many people have viewed their footwear as something very essential for our daily lives. They are worn when people would like to go from one point to another location, sometimes even inside their house, in order to protect their feet. They have also been worn when people go to location with grave condition or sensitive. Due to this, Shoe Covers Disposable was made as an accessory for these instances.

This piece of apparel has undergone a bit of interesting changes over the years. They started out as what was known as spats. These spats kept mud and dust of boots. Amazingly, spats have found applications in military uniforms and in expressing ones wealth. Every now and then, spats become fashionable to magnify footwear aesthetics.

Rubber was then used as the next material for protection of footwear in the nineteenth century, with its better waterproof and weatherproof properties. This was a considerable improvement compared with old versions of this protection. However, crude manufacturing techniques and the use of natural rubber meant that they had the tendency to melt when the weather was too hot and crack when it was too cold. Continuous improvements resulted in the use instead of synthetic rubber from artificial elastomer which was less susceptible from the elements.

Over-boots became trendy during the thirties. Over-boots were primarily ornamental and had insignificant practical effect on shoes. Over-boots were revolutionary in the sense that they were the first footwear coverings that incorporated high heels into its structure.

Another practical and innovative invention was the drizzle boot. They used clear plastic that was shaped to fit in shoes and were meant to protect its contents while other people are still able to see what is inside. This made it fashionable and was very effective against rain, mud, snow or slush.

These accessories are primarily used today for the protective properties it has and its benefits to its user and their surroundings. A good number of businesses require strict cleanliness and safety precautions that this apparel has become one of the common items in establishments and their employees. Examples of professions that use this are pest control personnel, window washers, electricians & plumbers, realtors, home inspectors, carpet cleaning personnel, delivery men, heating and air technicians, phone and cable installers and employees involved in highly sensitive electronics and semi conductor manufacturing.

Further enhancements have not only stopped with the base design of the products manufactured, but also the materials used in making them. Other materials being used include pack cloth, thin plastic, polypropylene, polyethylene, denim and chlorinated polyethylene. These developments had significant changes in other properties like cost effectiveness, weight, convenience, strength, easy to dispose, flexibility and better resistance to dust. Rubber bands have also been inserted on some versions so it automatically locks itself in place, so users would not have to touch them anymore.

Shoe covers disposable apparels are very critical in ultra sensitive surgery procedures and manufacturing processes. The intention of the use of these things is for the prevention of contaminants, primarily dust, from entering the sensitive area of interest. Such is the importance of these accessories that semiconductor plants heavily rely on its usage to counter the presence of dust impurity inside the manufacturing area.
