The reason for the separation is kept private to respect their privacy. The custody of the children and the division of properties and assets are also kept confidential.

Only divorce cases which have been registered since June 1927 are available for request in the state of Florida. One should know that there is a very minimal fee of $5 to have the request processed. If the requesting individual does not have any idea as to when the separation of the couple was legalized, a $2 additional processing fee has to be paid per year that is being looked into.
