In Haiti, the poverty level has risen extremely high in the more remote places of the country to a point that some places are not suited for living anymore. The Haiti Mission Incorporated was created in order to address the problems of the people who are living in this condition. Here are some of the projects that were created by this organization.
Now just for a short background, this organization was founded in Louisiana by members of a church known as Saint Bridget Church. They first started in the year 1999 but all throughout the years, there are a lot of other churches and organizations that would help in the endeavors of the organization. Of course their main partner would be a church in Haiti that is known as the Church Parish of Our Lady Of Assumption located in Jeremie.
Since food is very scarce in the area of Jeremie, food is extremely scarce because there are hardly any animals that can be used for eating. That is why one of the main projects of this organization is to transport farm animals from Leogane to Jeremie. Of course they also do the job of making sure that there are no viruses or diseases in the animals.
Since education is a necessity for children but is also very scarce in the area, then a number schools were built for this area. In fact, it was also the organization who handled all the facilities and the school equipment in the institutes. Aside from that, they also provided the manpower that was needed such as the teachers, the medical staff, the and of course the maintenance team.
Aside from schools, they would also build some houses in the area since most of the people here still live in huts. Of course just like the schools, they would also provide all the facilities and utilities in the house. This would include the water and other necessities that should be found in a house.
Another one of their projects was to provide some clothing for the children especially shoes. What they noticed was that the children had shoes that had holes and cracks which would hurt their feet because of the rough terrain. That is why they brought in shoes from America and had these shoes distributed in the school.
Soccer has become an obsession in the country which is why the organization used the sport as a means of inspiration to the people. They built a soccer field just for the people of Haiti complete with goal posts and all. These children were also given a lot of soccer balls for them to play with.
Now as one can see, these are only just a few of the projects implemented by Haiti Mission. In fact, they have so many more projects that they have been implemented aside from the ones that have been mentioned above. All of the projects that they have done have been so helpful in improving the lifestyles of the people in this area.
