Are You Sleeping With Someone?

  There are times when persons are asked if they are sleeping with someone else in a relationship. This is normally asked in two scenarios. 1. If someone is dating for the first time and he or she wants to know if their partner is currently having sex whether causally or intimately with someone. 2. Someone needs to know if their partner is having sex outside of the committed relationship. While we are playing around with others we are putting our lives and relationship at risk. The scariest fact that I will share below, is that: a frighteningly high percentage of these responses to the above question, are not truthful, Here is why:Unfaithfulness destroys a relationship and when we find out that our partners are sleeping outside, it will bring an end to what could be a good thing. Integrity is the order of the corporate society and when a pastor, leader, christian, husband or wife, admits that he or she is cheating, that takes away everything from their statue.
So when these questions are posed in a relationship, we find a dishonest way out rather to speak the truth and speak it ever with little regard for consequences. Therefore, if a man is player or if a woman is just looking for the right Jack in the sack, there will be a day of reckoning. I am not being religious when I say that. I am alluding to the fact that someone might be seeking honesty in a relationship. Infidelity is one of the biggest vices couples face in today's society.
We know that God is the ultimate judge but when we are not truthful about our sexuality, it sometimes makes one feel guilty deep down inside, especially when there is a faithful and trustworthy person in their life. So it doesn't take God to judge us but we are convicted by our consciences.
I think it's best to start being faithful, stick to one partner and limit sexual promiscuity. I am sure many are aware of the implications this careless lifestyle could have on our lives. If not, let me share a reminder: A teenager who becomes sexually activate with multiple partners at an early age, is susceptible to cervical cancer later in life. There is also the risk of The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and HIV. that is contracted every minute worldwide..
Some may argue that there are ways to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases but we all know that sometimes the need for skin to skin becomes tempting in some stage of our encounters. Then, there is the scare of unwanted pregnancies that seem to be rampant in our society. There are so many single mothers and fathers who are victims of this devastating catastrophe, all results of having sex with the wrong person.
It would be joy to the ears and hearts the next time a partner is asked if he or she is sleeping with someone and the answer is truthful, in a positive and favorable way.
